Not at all! A doula enhances your partner’s role by offering guidance and reassurance, ensuring they feel confident in supporting you. Whether it’s hands-on comfort measures, explaining what’s happening, or giving your partner a break, a doula works as a team with you both to create a supportive and connected birth experience.
No, a doula supports all birth choices—whether you plan for an unmedicated birth, epidural, or cesarean. The goal is to ensure you feel informed, empowered, and supported in whatever decisions are best for you. Your birth, your way—we’re here to help make it a positive experience.
Yes! Many providers appreciate doulas because we support you emotionally and physically while they focus on medical care. In a hospital setting, a doula works alongside your medical team, offering comfort measures, advocacy, and reassurance. Most hospitals are familiar with doulas, and we maintain a professional, collaborative approach to ensure your birth preferences are honored while fostering a smooth, team-centered experience.
Yes! A postpartum doula provides support for both breastfeeding and formula feeding, helping you navigate challenges like latch issues, low milk supply, bottle feeding, or pumping. We offer practical guidance, troubleshoot common concerns, and connect you with lactation specialists if needed. Our goal is to ensure feeding your baby feels as stress-free and successful as possible, in a way that works best for you.
Even with a supportive partner or family, a doula provides specialized, nonjudgmental care tailored to your needs. We also support your partner, ensuring they get rest and feel confident in their role. A doula offers expert advice, easing stress and making the postpartum period smoother for the whole family.
Not at all! A postpartum doula is there to support and empower you, not replace you. We offer guidance, reassurance, and assistance so you can feel more confident in caring for your baby while also getting the rest and recovery you need.
Our approach is to support you throughout both your birth and postpartum journey, honoring the choices that feel right for you and your family. Whether you’re navigating labor, birth, or the early days with your newborn, we offer evidence-based information, compassionate care, and a safe, nonjudgmental space. We respect your preferences, values, and needs, creating an environment where you can confidently navigate this transformative experience.
Many HSA/FSA accounts cover doula services, and we provide receipts, documentation, and guidance for reimbursement. While traditional insurance may not always cover doula care, some plans offer partial coverage or reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your provider for specific details. We also work with TRICARE Insurance for military families.
We offer flexible payment plans to make doula support accessible. You can pay in full or break payments into installments leading up to your birth or postpartum period. We also accept HSA/FSA payments and are registered on Be Her Village™ so that you can include your doula support on your baby registry.
For birth doula clients, we are on call from 38-42 weeks, ready to support you whenever labor begins. For postpartum doula care, we schedule shifts based on your needs and availability, ensuring you receive the support you need in the first critical weeks after birth. Early booking is recommended to secure your preferred schedule!
